The previous year, for his first grade school picture, Nico put on the nice blue sweater I picked out for the occasion. Unbeknownst to me, he wore a Transformers Optimus Prime t-shirt underneath that he had planned all along to wear for the photo shoot. So, when he got to school, he took off his sweater and "forgot" to put it back on. For his photo, he has an odd smug/guilty expression on his face. Here is Nico's first grade picture:
Vic and I are not sure if we should settle for this year's current photo or schedule a retake. We don't know if the grandparents will want an 8X10 photo of their grandson being a prankster, but then again, the image really does capture his essence. Help us decide.
* Sorry for the blurry, weirdly orange-tinted images - I don't have access to a scanner, so I just snapped cameraphone pics of these photos.

get a retake! we're getting one for leah (different reasons, hahaha) but the woman at school said you should put what you didn't like about the photo on the envelope so the photog doesn't take the same picture again. you can put "no mohawk!!!"
I'm already excited for next year!
Keep it! Nico obviously has you beat on this school picture thing (sorry!) and he will find a way to triumph for the retake as well! This will be awesome in the yearbook.
I LOVE it! Pictures are meant to convey a person as they are at a specific moment, not to make everyone think that your family is picture perfect! Don't you DARE get a retake.
no retake! it's a piece of rebel history.
Fresh. He's developing his personal swag at a young age.
Two can play that game, you know! Next year, you must *insist* that he dye his hair blue and wear a ripped t-shirt... then he will have to rebel by wearing a button down shirt ;)
Good plan! But by next year, he'll probably have the whole reverse psychology thing figured out!
